Rob Bresnahan’s campaign raised over $696,000 and started 2024 with over $636,000 COH, putting him in a strong position to take on incumbent Matt Cartwright.
Pittston, PA – Last week, The Penn Capital-Star reported that Rob Bresnahan raised more money than any other Republican challenger in Pennsylvania’s congressional races. Bresnahan’s receipts totaled more than $696,000 since he announced his campaign late last year. His cash on hand is over $636,000, in a strong position to take on incumbent Matt Cartwright.
The article went on to say “Bresnahan is the only Republican to file to run for the 8th District. If Bresnahan remains the only candidate for the GOP nomination in the 8th District, he will be able to focus on saving money for the general election. The race for the Northeast Pennsylvania district is shaping up to be an expensive one.”
Rob Bresnahan added the following comment in announcing this news:
“The people of Northeastern Pennsylvania are fed up with the San Francisco values and priorities of Matt Cartwright and the tremendous early support for my campaign shows that. We are going to put in the work with the voters of the 8th District to bring new leadership to our corner of Pennsylvania.”
