New polling released Monday shows Pennsylvanian’s disagree with Biden’s LNG export ban
Pittston, PA – This past January, President Biden announced his administration was halting the exporting of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG). As of this past weekend, three top democrats in Pennsylvania, Governor Josh Shapiro, and Senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman, all criticized President Biden’s actions against the Pennsylvania energy industry. Matt Cartwright had the opportunity to support one of Pennsylvania’s top industries, but instead broke with his fellow Pennsylvania democrats, voting in favor of Biden’s LNP ban on February 15th.
New polling released on Monday, March 4, shows that Biden’s overreach on LNG is extremely unpopular in Pennsylvania. According to Axis Research and the Pennsylvania Energy Infrastructure Alliance (PEIA), 48% of voters polled disagree with Biden’s overreach on LNG and 41% of voters are more likely to vote against Biden because of his actions.
Rob Bresnahan stated the following in response to this news:
“Instead of standing up for thousands of jobs in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Matt Cartwright voted to continue Biden’s LNG export ban. Matt once again continues to vote for San Francisco ideas, not Northeastern Pennsylvania. When I am in Congress, I will always vote to unleash Pennsylvanian energy independence so that we can stop our dependence on countries that hate us, lower rising energy costs, and keep Pennsylvania an energy dominant state.”
