Pittston, PA – Rob Bresnahan, Republican candidate for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 8th District, today blasted six-term Congressman Matt Cartwright for his vote this morning to effectively ban the sale of new gas and diesel-powered vehicles in the next decade. The vote is the latest example of Cartwright voting with his fellow progressive caucus members for radical proposals that would increase the costs of everyday necessities for working-class Pennsylvanians.
“It’s sad to see Congressman Cartwright once again voting with Nancy Pelosi and AOC to make life more difficult for working-class families across Northeastern Pennsylvania,” said Rob Bresnahan. “Sadly, we have come to expect this extremism from Congressman Cartwright, who clearly doesn’t understand the harm these radical Washington policies are having on his constituents.”
